Niamh is a compassionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist at Hiya Health Sunnybank Hills, with a focus on paediatrics, who is committed to helping the local Sunnybank community.
Having earned her Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Sheffield Hallam University in the United Kingdom, Niamh brings valuable international experience to her role at Hiya Health.

Niamh’s career began in the National Health Service (NHS) in the UK, where she worked in acute inpatient assessment and treatment wards, working in a multi-disciplinary team environment, with clients with varying conditions and ages. Her broad clinical expertise is further enriched by additional learning in a special educational needs school focusing on children with cerebral palsy, community learning disabilities, and a spinal cord injury centre.

Niamh has a special interest in working with paediatric clients and has experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, cerebral palsy and global developmental delay to support them to develop fine motor, social and cognitive skills to support their independence. These diverse experiences allow her to provide comprehensive care tailored to each individual’s unique needs.

A passionate advocate for client-centred care, Niamh focuses on empowering individuals to achieve their personal and functional goals. Her commitment to a holistic approach ensures that all aspects of a client’s wellbeing are considered in her therapeutic practices.
