Nadera Kingsley

Nadera is a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist at Hiya Health Sunnybank Hills. She graduated from The University of Queensland with First Class Honours in 2009.  Nadera’s honours research, which focused on children and adults with disabilities, led to her work being published in a peer-reviewed journal—a testament to her commitment to evidence-based practice.

Nadera’s journey as an Occupational Therapist is enriched by her extensive experience working in various aged care settings, and since joining Hiya Health in 2021 working primarily with children and people with psychosocial disabilities.

With her Social Role Valorisation background, using trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming approaches, and as a mother of two children herself, Nadera provides an empathetic and supportive approach to help and advocate for her clients to achieve a fulfilling and dignified life and deep personal understanding to her work with families. In her down time, she loves spending time with family including walks with her dog, various musical pursuits, trivia, and word games. A lifelong learner, Nadera enjoys reading and exploring new topics, and volunteers her time to support her local community.

Nadera’s approachable nature and dedication to advocacy make her a valued and trusted member of the Hiya Health Sunnybank Hills team, inspiring her clients to achieve their goals with confidence and dignity.
