Ayla Hermanutz is a dedicated Physiotherapist at the Hiya Health Paddington clinic. Originally from Canada, Ayla brings a strong background in sport, movement, and exercise to her practice, with a lifelong involvement in physical activity shaping her approach to physiotherapy.

Why choose Ayla?

Ayla completed her Masters of Physiotherapy Studies at the University of Queensland. She is fully certified in all Pilates apparatus, including reformer and mat, through Pilates Academy International, and has been teaching Pilates since the age of 17. Ayla is also a Pilates Master Trainer, with a passion for training and certifying new instructors.

She has a strong interest in the assessment and management of musculoskeletal and sports-related injuries. Ayla enjoys working with clients across the lifespan, with a particular passion for supporting young athletes to build resilience, enhance performance, and reduce injury risk. She also enjoys working with pre- and post-natal populations through clinical Pilates and has experience treating neurological conditions and senior populations.

Her approach to physiotherapy integrates manual therapy with exercise and functional strength training, drawing on her extensive experience in clinical Pilates to help clients optimise movement and achieve long-term outcomes.
