Alyssa Wedding
Exercise Physiologist, Hiya Health Labrador
Alyssa is an experienced Exercise Physiologist at Hiya Health who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Clinic Exercise Physiology from James Cook University. Prior to joining Hiya Health, Alyssa was practicing up in Townsville, QLD where she gained invaluable experience in a community health centre focusing on the management of musculoskeletal conditions, healthy ageing / falls prevention, disability capacity building and general chronic disease management.
Alyssa is a big people person and has a passion for empowering others to achieve their goals. Becoming an Exercise Physiologist made the most sense as it allowed her to work in an industry where she can still be involved in sport and exercise, but also assist people with chronic conditions to improve their overall happiness, function and quality of life.
Alyssa’s clinic interests and experiences expand across a wide range of conditions including but not limited to neurological, musculoskeletal, neurodevelopmental (ASD), workplace injury management and falls prevention/aged related conditions. Alyssa prides herself on her client centred approach, multidisciplinary collaboration and outcome driven interventions.
In her spare time, Alyssa enjoys watching and playing AFL, spending time with her friends and family, and reading a lot of books!
