Alex is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist, who graduated with a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology from the University of the Sunshine Coast in 2022. Her passion for health and exercise intervention began in 2017 while studying a Diploma in Elite Dance Performance. Throughout her academic journey, Alex explored the relationship between movement, function, and wellbeing.
During her final year of university, Alex gained hands-on experience as a Pilates instructor, refining her coaching skills. She has since incorporated both Clinical Reformer Pilates and strength training into her practice to address various physical and neurological conditions. She believes that combining typical strength training with clinical Reformer Pilates, with its focus on controlled, functional movement, is particularly beneficial for enhancing strength, balance, and coordination in clients living with Neurological and physical challenges.
Alex enjoys working with clients across a wide range of health challenges, including Neurological disorders, paediatric gross motor skill development, Oncology, athlete development, women’s health and Osteoporosis. Her approach is client centred, focusing on personalised treatment plans that not only address specific diagnoses but also align with the activities and exercises her clients find most engaging and enjoyable.
In her spare time, Alex enjoys running, spending time with her friends and family, and continually expanding her knowledge of exercise therapies that promote long-term health and quality of life.
“Exercise Physiology is so much more than telling people what exercises to do, it is incredible to see the change in client’s mindsets and lives. My favourite part is seeing our client’s achieve goals that they never thought they would achieve and watching their confidence and empowerment grow as well. It’s truly a remarkable journey of personal triumph”.
