Alex is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist at Hiya Health Redcliffe. In 2021, Alex completed a Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology after completing his Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science in 2019. Alex subsequently began working in a more clinical setting in 2021.

With a keen interest in education and clinical reasoning, Alex maintains an active role in the mentoring of graduates at his clinic and assisting to facilitate students through their respective university placement blocks.

Alex prioritises client-centred care and keeps his finger on the pulse of relevant research in his key interest areas. He focuses on delivering evidenced-based care to a variety of clinical presentations, though has notable experience working with work-related injuries, sporting injuries and athletic performance, as well as developing fundamental physical traits for youth athletes. He also enjoys working with individuals with metabolic conditions, finding ways to support individuals to manage their chronic conditions through exercise and behaviour change.

When Alex is not at work, he enjoys spending his downtime with his family of three (soon to be four), working on his own fitness goals and trying to find the best brunch location in northside Brisbane.

“With a passion for health and fitness, Exercise Physiology was a certain fit for a job. It’s fortunate to be able to work in one of the best facilities in South-East Queensland, whilst working with such a varied case-load with interesting people. I take great interest and care in each individual I see day-to-day, and prioritise client enjoyment and adherence above all else.

Hiya Health is a great place to grow as a practitioner, with continual team-collaboration both in and between disciplines to deliver the best outcomes to our clients. As a result of this, I strive to never be stagnant and continue to learn, so that I can support my clients as best as possible.”
