Workplace Injury Management services at Hiya Health

Hiya Health helps businesses reduce Workcover Claims and lower WorkCover Premiums, through effective Injury Prevention, Rapid Response to injury and ongoing Support for physically demanding occupations.

In workplaces with frequent manual handling or repetitive movements, musculoskeletal injuries often result in increased lost time injuries (LTIs), absenteeism, and costly WorkCover claims. Our multi-disciplinary team of Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Occupational Therapists, and Dietitians create tailored treatment plans that focus on keeping workers healthy, reducing injury rates across the workforce or returning them to peak performance faster if an injury does occur.   Operating across nine convenient clinic locations throughout Brisbane and the Gold Coast, we are committed to partnering with you to  improve worker health and minimise workplace costs

Pre-employment screening

At Hiya Health, we offer preventative workplace injury management pre-employment screenings as part of our comprehensive services.

A pre-employment assessment provides valuable insight into a candidate’s physical strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular fitness, helping you determine their risk of work-related injury. It also helps candidates understand whether they can safely meet the demands of the role. This functional assessment can be paired with a pre-employment medical evaluation by a doctor. Hiya Health offers both generic and tailored pre-employment assessments to suit your specific requirements.

Rapid Response to Injury Program

At Hiya Health, we understand how crucial it is for employees to recover safely from acute musculoskeletal injuries, particularly those affecting the neck, shoulder, back, hip, knee, and ankle. Our team is committed to guiding individuals through a focused recovery process, ensuring they regain strength and mobility to return to work confidently and without compromising their long-term health.

The Rapid Response to Injury Program primarily aims to deliver targeted, evidence-based modern therapy treatment protocols to patients. By offering a comprehensive assessment, education, and treatment promptly after an injury or musculoskeletal issue, we maximise the employees potential for recovery faster. Our goal is to prevent the costly Workcover process and instead manage the injury privately between the employee, employer and Hiya Health.

work hardening program

Work Hardening Program

At Hiya Health, we’ve specially designed this twelve-session work hardening program, delivered over 6 to 12 weeks, to ensure workers are fully prepared to handle key occupational tasks.

The program provides essential support and conditioning for those new to manual handling, while also identifying and assisting existing employees transitioning into more physically demanding roles. Our goal is to gradually build workers’ strength and load tolerance, minimising the risk of soft tissue and repetitive strain injuries.
