Hiya Health Beenleigh offers Reformer Pilates to people of all ages, experiences, and capabilities. Lead by one of our Exercise Physiologists or Physiotherapists, Reformer Pilates is an effective, and often low-impact way to exercise and rehabilitate for many conditions.

At Beenleigh, we offer 1:1 and duo Pilates sessions, as well as using Pilates regularly as part of an individually prescribed exercise program. We utilise the premium “Pilates Health Equipment” Reformers and tailor these sessions to suit those from novice, to advanced, and are able modify sessions to accommodate any injuries.

The price of Physiotherapy sessions at our Beenleigh clinic depends on the type of referral/funding body source (if applicable). For clients with a Medicare Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Plan: With a Pension card (___ colour) or Healthcare card (___ colour):
Medicare Gap Payment: $42 gap payment Standard appointment durations are 20-30 minutes under EPC Plan. Note: Private health subsidies cannot be used to cover the gap payment on EPC Plans.
For private paying clients: Initial consultation cost: 45-minute Initial consultation: $140 Extended 60-minute Initial consultation: $156. The Beenleigh clinic treats clients from a range of funding bodies including (but not limited to) WorkCover, NDIS, DVA, NIISQ, HCP.
The cost of these sessions will typically be at no cost to the client in accordance with the respective referral/treatment plan.
Do I need a GP referral to see a physio?
Definitely not! Our Physiotherapists at the Beenleigh Clinic are highly trained first-contact practitioners, and can see you without a referral from the GP. Our Physiotherapists also can see clients who have been referred by the GP or specialist, whether on a plan or not (eg. EPC, DVA, Workcover).
Can I claim a physio appointment on medicare?
Yes, our Beenleigh Clinic offer’s medicare rebates if you have been provided a referral under an Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) plan by your GP. This involves a maximum of 5x Medicare-subsidised sessions per annum across allied health professionals. The quantity of sessions on the plan for respective professions will be stated on your referral, decided by the referring GP in discussion with you. Medicare referrals can be used to access Physiotherapy, Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, and Exercise Physiology services at Beenleigh.
What is the difference between an exercise physiologist & a physiotherapist?
Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists are similar in many aspects, with both professions studying a minimum of 4 years at University to work as an Allied Health Professional across a wide range of conditions and across the lifespan. Exercise Physiologists generally have additional training in Exercise for Chronic Disease management through exercise, and are well-suited to seeing metabolic conditions. Physiotherapists will do additional training in musculoskeletal injury assessment and management, and are well-suited to diagnose and treat acute injuries. Both Exercise Physiologists and Physiotherapists use Exercise and stay up-to-date with the latest science to incorporate into their treatment plans, and at Hiya Health our Exercise Physiologists and Physiotherapists work alongside each other daily and collaborate to provide the best outcomes.
Can I claim a rebate for my physio sessions?
Yes, for privately-paid sessions (ie. without a funding body), our Beenleigh clinic takes private-health subsidies and has HICAPS to process the subsidies on the spot.
Note: Private health subsidies cannot be used to cover the gap payment on EPC appointments
Do you offer paediatric services to young children? and how old?
Yes, our team of Occupational Therapists, Exercise Physiologists, Physiotherapists and Dietitians offer services for children generally over the age of 3-years old but we do have specific Physiotherapists with limited capacity to see children as young as 12-months old.
Is the Beenleigh clinic wheelchair accessible?
Yes. Although our Beenleigh does have stairs leading up from the front reception area, we have a rear carpark with ramp access to allow any clients with wheelchairs or mobility challanges to access the main clinic floor which is where all therapies and sessions will take place.
Does the Beenleigh clinic offer hydrotherapy?
Yes, Hiya Health Beenleigh offers limited spots for Hydrotherapy, currently operating in the heated pools at the Beenleigh Aquatic Centre on City Road, Beenleigh and at Pimpama Sports Hub Aquatic Centre on Rifle Road, Pimpama.
