Golf Injury Rehabilitation

Over their lifetime, more than half of all golfers will experience at least one injury that impacts their ability to play and enjoy golf. To ensure you can return to your full swing and enjoy playing golf as soon as possible, it’s crucial to begin treating your injuries early.

The golf swing involves multiple moving joints working together to generate high velocity and fast club speeds, placing increased load on the body. If the body isn’t working efficiently or has limitations in flexibility and control, this can create further load, leading to an increased risk of injury.

Common Golf Injuries

  • Lower Back Pain: Often caused by poor swing mechanics or overuse.
  • Golfer’s Elbow (Medial Epicondylitis): Resulting from repetitive stress on the elbow tendons.
  • Rotator Cuff Injuries: Due to the high velocity and force of the golf swing.
  • Wrist Injuries: Often caused by the impact of the club hitting the ground or ball.
  • Knee Pain: Commonly due to the twisting and turning motions during the swing.
  • Personalised Golf Exercise Programs: Individualised exercise programs developed through the TPI Assessment/Screening and any present injuries to not only return you to golf but also improve any limitations, enhancing your ability to play and perform on the golf course.
  • Performance Development: Testing of factors to determine an individualised exercise program aimed at improving flexibility, swing speed, and strength to aid in developing athletic fitness and golf performance.
