The Hiya Health Recruiter’s Checklist: Beyond the Resume

At Hiya Health, we’re not just filling positions; we’re building a team of passionate individuals dedicated to enhancing client outcomes by ensuring we provide the very best clinical care. As the recruiter here, I’m constantly on the lookout for more than just the right skills and experience. I’m searching for the spark, the drive, and the potential to truly make a difference. So, what exactly am I looking for when I am hiring for physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians and exercise physiologists for Hiya Health? Here’s a peek inside my recruiter’s checklist:

1. A Genuine Love for the Craft:

It sounds cliché, but it’s true. I want to see a genuine passion for physiotherapy, exercise physiology, occupational therapy or dietetics. Someone who truly enjoys what they do is infinitely more likely to excel, innovate, and contribute in meaningful ways. Tell me what excites you about your field! What keeps you up at night (in a good way!)?

2. The “1% Better Every Day” Mindset:

We’re all about continuous improvement at Hiya Health. I look for candidates who are committed to growth, not just for themselves, but for their teammates as well. Are you actively seeking out opportunities to learn, develop new skills, and share your knowledge with others? Do you embrace challenges as chances to grow?

3. Raising the Bar, Setting New Standards:

When I am recruiting for roles in our clinics, I want to see a commitment to excellence. Are you someone who settles for “good enough,” or are you constantly pushing for better? Do you challenge the status quo and strive to elevate the standards of your profession? Show me how you’ve raised the bar in the past.

4. Attitude and Energy:

This is huge. I’m looking for positive, energetic individuals who bring enthusiasm and a can-do spirit to the table. Your attitude is contagious, and I want to ensure that we’re adding someone who will uplift and inspire those around them.

5. Communication is Key:

Clear, concise, and effective communication is essential for success in any job role at Hiya Health. Can you clearly articulate your ideas? Are you a good listener? Do you tailor your communication style to your audience?

6. The Art of Storytelling:

Can you captivate an audience? Can you tell a compelling story that engages clients and colleagues alike? The ability to connect with others on an emotional level is incredibly valuable. Share a time you created trust using great communication skills and storytelling.

7. Building Trust:

It all comes down to trust. Can you demonstrate that you are reliable, honest, and someone others can depend on? Give me specific examples of times you have built trust with clients or co-workers.

8. Presentation Matters:

First impressions count. Your presentation, both in your application materials and during the interview process, reflects your attention to detail and your level of care. It shows me that you take pride in your work and that you’re willing to go the extra mile.

In conclusion, As a recruiter for Hiya Health, I’m looking for exceptional individuals. Whether I am posting physiotherapist jobs, recruiting occupational therapists, or hiring exercise physiologists or dietitians, I’m excited to see what talent is out there! If you are ready for your next career in healthcare, don’t hesitate to send your resume to me!
