Jess is a happy Physiotherapist at Hiya Health Caboolture. In 2021, Jess completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at ACU (Brisbane) and commenced working at Body Smart Health from 2022. She has completed additional training in Neurological Physiotherapy and Strength & Conditioning Physiotherapy.
Jess is invested in helping all people whether it be young children reach their developmental milestones or adults struggling with pain. Her goal as a physiotherapist is to make your day that little bit brighter so that everyone can enjoy their best life. She prioritises tailoring her physiotherapy approach to your needs to facilitate you to achieve your goals.
Her passions lie in neurological and paediatric physiotherapy. Jess enjoys supporting people post stroke (for example to retrain walking) or with people with progressive neurological disorders (for example multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease). After almost three years of clinical experience working with paediatrics (older than 3 years of age), Jess is experienced and confident supporting children that have cerebral palsy, developmental delays or children who are chronic toe-walkers. Jess also has a keen interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, including rehabilitating people after an injury (for example ACL rehab) or supporting those with long term pain (e.g. chronic shoulder, knee or back pain). To expand her knowledge, Jess is often participating in professional development courses or liaising with her colleagues to provide you with a high-quality service.
When not at work, Jess loves throwing a good spiral pass on the touch footy field or lifting weights at the gym. Jess is often centring her plans around food, whether it be treating herself to a good coffee after a run or cooking up a delicious meal. Jess’s down time includes walking her dog Theo and curling up with a good book. She is obsessed with gardening and indoor plants so don’t get her started on this because the conversation may never end!
