From the course to the Clinic: Enhancing Golf Performance with Physiotherapy
Introducing our Golf Physiotherapy program
Hiya Health is excited to announce the launch of our specialised golf physiotherapy program at the Redcliffe Clinic, led by our dedicated physiotherapist, Luke Stephens. Luke brings a wealth of experience and passion for golf, having been a member at Wantima Golf Club and City Golf Club in Toowoomba since his junior years. His background includes competing in junior tournaments across Queensland and being a member of his Senior Pennants Team in Toowoomba.
Luke has furthered his expertise with a Level 1 Certification from the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI). This certification, combined with his Masters in Physiotherapy, uniquely positions Luke to serve the golfing community in the Redcliffe and Moreton Bay Regions. He employs TPI’s comprehensive assessment tools to analyse how your body moves in relation to your golf swing. This assessment allows him to tailor programs that enhance your golf performance while reducing the risk of injuries or aiding in recovery from them.
Addressing Common Golf Injuries
Injuries are unfortunately common among golfers, affecting more than half of all players during their golfing journey. At Hiya Health, we are committed to helping you recover swiftly from injuries, enabling you to return to the course as soon as possible. Our approach integrates TPI screenings and specialised physiotherapy assessments to craft personalised rehabilitation plans that cater to your specific injury needs.
Improving Golf Performance
Research highlights that increasing your driving distance by just 10 yards can result in an average of 1.8 fewer strokes per round. Through detailed functional and movement assessments derived from TPI screenings, we develop customised golf fitness programs. These programs are designed to optimise your body mechanics, efficiency, and power, ultimately helping you hit the ball farther and play better golf.
