Prishani is an experienced Accredited Exercise Physiologist at Hiya Health. In 2019, she proudly earned her Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology (Distinction) from Queensland University of Technology. Her dedication to her clients motivated her to further enrich her skills by completing a Graduate Certificate in Neurological Rehabilitation at Edith Cowan University in 2024. Prishani aims to integrate the latest evidence-based approaches into her client care.
Passionate about harnessing exercise as a potent tool for health, Prishani focuses on managing chronic conditions and overall well-being. Specialising and being highly interested in neurological rehabilitation, Prishani constantly updates her knowledge on the best approaches to augment neuroplastic changes (i.e., positively changing the way the brain works or adapts to change) to improve functional abilities, maintain or increase independence, and enhance the overall quality of life. She aims to offer supportive and personalised care that aligns with each client’s goals and needs. With a person-centred care approach, she seamlessly integrates multiple viewpoints, such as the client’s, other healthcare professionals’, and her own expertise to create a comprehensive plan to manage her client’s health. Prishani believes exercise holds benefits for everyone and individualises her testing battery and prescription to her client’s specific needs, impairments, and goals to ensure optimal outcomes. Above all that, she considers the client’s unique situation, preferences, and values, rather than just focussing on their medical condition or disability.
Beyond her dedication to client care, Prishani finds joy in her personal interests such as watching and playing football (soccer) and enjoying going on little adventures in the great outdoors.
