The Hiya Health Journey
Our beginnings
Our journey began in 2012, when Physiotherapist and CEO Kieran Bairstow saw a vast gap between the level of care and attention provided to allied health clients in the community which was in contrast to his experience in professional sport.
Driven to bridge this disparity, Hiya Health previously known as Body Smart Health, was established. The mission to bring a higher standard of therapy, rehab and exercise to the people it could help the most in the Australian community.
From day one, our mission has been to elevate community health practices by applying rigorous, scientifically-backed methods and attention to detail. This commitment to excellence has driven our expansion from a single clinic to a comprehensive active health network with 9 centres across South East Queensland including Beenleigh, Burleigh Heads, Caboolture, Cleveland, Ipswich, Labrador, Paddington, Sunnybank and Redcliffe serving a diverse clientele.

Today we offer a comprehensive range of allied health services from Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology to Occupational Therapy, Hydrotherapy, Reformer Pilates and Dietetics. Our friendly team of over 110 expert allied health professionals bring expert, holistic client care, utilising the latest knowledge and equipment providing top-notch clinical care in optimal and comfortable settings.
Whether it’s overcoming pain, improving function or mobility, enabling your child to excel in school or sport or any other health challenge, our approach is tailored to meet the diverse needs of our clients. Our team works closely with care teams, including doctors, specialists, and other allied health service providers to ensure seamless and coordinated care for our clients.
We see a wide range of clientele from children, teenagers, adults and seniors. As a clinic network, we are also an audited, accredited and registered provider of NDIS. We accept private health, Medicare, Workcover, DVA and aged care.
